New Buildings, Additions, Major Renovations

New buildings and additions to existing building generally fall under the State of Utah's definition of a Capital Development and require approval by the State of Utah following approvals by the University's Board of Trustees and the Board of Regents. Details of the project, including proposed scope, cost and funding plan must be prepared and submitted for the approval process several months prior to the meetings in which approvals are obtained. The Planning office can help guide the proposals through this process.

Major renovation projects do not typically require approval by the State of Utah. The Project Manager assigned to the project can facilitate these approvals.
