Non-emergency requests are attended to within three days of request submission.

• If you are in the HCI (Huntsman Cancer Institute) Research North or South Buildings, please visit the Huntsman Cancer Institute Facilities
• If you are in one of the hospital patient buildings, please get in touch with the Hospital Facilities Management or call 801-801-2241.
• If you are in one of the Community Clinics, use the Vocera system or call the Facility Manager for your clinic directly.
• If you are in Research Park, Station Center, or 102 Tower, contact the Real Estate Administration web page.
• Facilities Management for Main Campus repairs all CCure systems (card readers, panic buttons, cameras) regardless of the building. Please visit the Facilities web page.

Corrective Maintenance is part of the building infrastructure (walls, floors, lights, plumbing, heating, cooling, ventilation).

Customer Project/Service Requestis a request to repair department equipment, make changes to a building or space requested by the department, or provide a service, such as custodial support for an event, cleaning of carpet or furniture, etc.

A Cost Estimate is an estimate for a future project. Cost estimates do not guarantee the project's price and should only be used for budgeting. A firm bid will give the requestor a guaranteed price for a project. The agreed-upon price shown in the firm bid will be billed to the chartfield provided once the project is done, regardless of the cost.

 If you incorrectly used the Customer Projects & Service Request form, Facilities Management will update the work request and remove your chartfield.

If you incorrectly used the Corrective Maintenance Request, you will be contacted to provide a chartfield or be asked to resubmit the request using the correct form.

 It will depend upon the building and the type of work request, whether corrective maintenance for existing infrastructure services or billable for new college or departmental project requests:

• Corrective maintenance repairs ensure existing buildings and infrastructures operate safely and efficiently and are non-billable.
• A department or college initiates non-corrective work for changes to their structural environment and is billable work.

Times vary by type of request.  Temperature issues are usually resolved within 24 hours.  Projects can be 1-3 weeks.

• For corrective maintenance work, please contact your District Facility Coordinator
• For non-corrective work or project based services, please contact the Project Coordinator assigned to your project.
• Online: Open your original service request form. At the top of the form, click on the ‘Search Requests’ tab and enter key information of your issue or project to pull up a list of work orders. When searching for a work request, less information is better; entering too much information may lead to not seeing the work request you are looking for.

Costs will vary by project based on the job requirements. Individual shops can sometimes provide a rough estimate based on similar past projects. If you need a cost estimate, please fill out the Cost Estimate request.

As each job differs, the Facilities Management coordinators and technicians will work with your department to develop a plan and schedule based on project requirements, which will outline when the work is happening and expectations for the workspace.
